Although I love to depict industrious Virgin Islanders going about their work. In this imaginary painting I elected to make the clouds and palm trees my characters, tossed about and dancing to the music of the storm. Palms with their sinuous trunks and already shredded leaves are ideally suited to windy conditions, and even after hurricanes we are lucky to have as many as we do left standing.
