This Methodist Church is on Little Hill above Leverick Bay and the North Sound. I have shown my imaginary congregation gathering for service from all directions. The little boy on the right has forgotten the solemnity of the occasion and is jumping off a rock, his younger sister is shocked, and trying to alert the attention of her oblivious parents. The mother is distracted by her pregnancy and hoping she'll get through the service without going into labour. The father is an Elder of the church and hurrying the family along. They are about to pass a beautiful but potentially fatal Manchineel tree. Some of the poisonous apples are lying on the grass but even the children know better than to eat them. Over on the left a mongoose is curious about all the activity, while hiding among the rocks. The young mother across the road is bringing her baby to be Baptised. Her daughter is looking forward to the occasion, while the little boy is worrying that he still hasn't put on the shoes he has been carrying. This family lives in the small house in the distance, visible over the top of the tree.
